Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 April 2026

These terms are written for couples, hosts, planner partners, family leaders, and staff using Martida to run a wedding. They are intended to be clear and practical. If you need a signed commercial agreement or have a legal question, contact legal@martida.click.

Key points

  • Hosts and planner partners are responsible for the wedding content, guest list accuracy, and permission to contact guests.
  • Martida provides wedding software, invitation links, guest list tools, planner workflows, payment flows, and scanner access. We are not the venue, caterer, security provider, or wedding planner unless separately agreed in writing.
  • Guest data is used only to operate the wedding and related service communications. We do not sell guest lists.
  • Paid wedding access, planner licenses, SMS, and wholesale packs are subject to the refund and usage rules below.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Martida, including martida.click, dashboards, invitation pages, planner workspaces, guest links, scanner links, payment flows, SMS/WhatsApp delivery tooling, and related support. By creating an account, operating a wedding, applying as a planner partner, paying for a service, or using an invitation or scanner link, you agree to these terms.

2. Roles and responsibilities

  • Hosts are the people or organisations creating and managing a wedding event.
  • Planner partners are approved workspaces that manage weddings on behalf of couples or families.
  • Guests are people invited through Martida links, messages, QR codes, or scanner workflows.
  • Sub-admins and staff are people given limited event access by a host or planner partner.
  • You are responsible for making sure every person you invite or message has a legitimate connection to the event and can reasonably expect to receive wedding communication.

3. Accounts and access

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your login, staff links, scanner links, invite links, and sub-admin links secure.
  • You may not share host, admin, planner, or staff access with unauthorised people.
  • If you believe a link or account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@martida.click.
  • We may require verification, disable compromised access, rotate links, or suspend access where necessary to protect weddings, guests, or the platform.

4. The service

  • Martida provides tools for wedding setup, invitations, seat reservation management, family delegation, guest list management, event programs, planner workflows, guest messaging, payment handling, scanner access, and day-of check-in.
  • Some features may be released as beta, preview, or limited availability features. These may change, be rate-limited, or be removed as we improve them.
  • We aim to keep the service reliable, especially close to event dates, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every third-party provider will always be available.
  • We may perform maintenance, security updates, migrations, or emergency changes when needed.

5. Payments, plans, and partner licenses

  • Prices, packages, included features, and currency are shown at checkout or in a written agreement. Taxes may apply depending on location and transaction type.
  • Hosts may purchase access for an individual wedding. Planner partners may receive free, prepaid, or wholesale wedding licenses depending on their approved workspace terms.
  • A wedding license normally covers one wedding workspace or event container. Separate weddings, unrelated events, or duplicate productions may require separate licenses.
  • Polar (our merchant of record) handles payment details and tax collection on our behalf. Martida does not store full card numbers.
  • You may not attempt chargeback abuse, payment fraud, resale of access, or use of discounted licenses outside their intended workspace.

6. Refunds and cancellation

  • Unless a checkout page or written agreement says otherwise, paid wedding access is refundable if requested at least 14 days before the primary event date and before substantial invite delivery or scanner usage has begun.
  • SMS, WhatsApp, payment processor charges, wholesale packs, and partner license bundles may be non-refundable once used, delivered, allocated, or credited.
  • If Martida has a material platform failure during the event window and the failure was within our reasonable control, we will work with you in good faith on a remedy, service credit, or refund.
  • Changing a wedding date does not automatically create a new paid license if the same wedding is being rescheduled in good faith.

7. Guest communications

  • You are responsible for guest names, phone numbers, language choices, invite wording, dress code information, venue details, and any messages sent through or copied from Martida.
  • Do not use Martida to spam, harass, mislead, threaten, impersonate, phish, or send unrelated marketing to guests.
  • SMS and WhatsApp delivery depends on third-party networks, carrier filtering, phone number accuracy, recipient settings, and provider availability.
  • We may rate-limit, block, or review messaging behavior that looks abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.

8. Content and permissions

  • You retain ownership of wedding content you submit, including names, photos, program details, guest messages, memories, gift notes, and event copy.
  • You give Martida permission to host, process, transmit, display, back up, and secure that content only as needed to provide the service.
  • You must have the right to upload or share any names, images, logos, text, music references, links, messages, or other materials you add.
  • We may remove or restrict content that is illegal, abusive, sexually exploitative, discriminatory, fraudulent, invasive of privacy, or otherwise harmful.

9. Privacy and guest data

  • Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, subprocessors we use, and how users can exercise privacy rights.
  • Hosts and planner partners are responsible for having a lawful basis to provide guest information and send wedding communications.
  • Guest lists are confidential event data. We do not sell, rent, or use guest lists for advertising.
  • You may request export or deletion through the dashboard or by contacting privacy@martida.click, subject to legal, payment, fraud-prevention, and security retention requirements.

10. Security and misuse

  • Do not bypass access controls, probe private Convex/API routes, scrape guest data, brute-force tokens or PINs, abuse rate limits, or attempt to disrupt the service.
  • Do not share scanner links, sub-admin links, invitation links, or admin access outside their intended recipients.
  • We may log security-sensitive activity, revoke tokens, rotate links, temporarily block access, or require re-authentication to protect users and guests.
  • Responsible security reports can be sent to security@martida.click.

11. Planner partner terms

  • Planner partner access is approval-based. Applying does not guarantee approval, verification, public listing, free licenses, wholesale pricing, or continued partner status.
  • Planner partners must accurately represent their business, not impersonate couples, and only manage weddings they are authorised to support.
  • Planner partner profiles may be reviewed, suspended, unpublished, or removed if inaccurate, inactive, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to couples or guests.
  • Wholesale or prepaid licenses are for the approved workspace and may not be resold as standalone Martida accounts unless we agree in writing.

12. Third-party services

  • Martida uses third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payments, email, SMS, WhatsApp-related workflows, analytics-free operations, and other infrastructure.
  • Third-party services may have their own terms, downtime, region rules, compliance obligations, fees, and delivery limitations.
  • We are not responsible for failures caused by incorrect information you provide, venue internet outages, device issues, carrier filtering, payment processor decisions, or third-party network disruptions outside our reasonable control.

13. Availability and support

  • We work to keep Martida available and secure, especially near event windows, but no online service is perfect.
  • Support availability may depend on your package, event date, partner agreement, and severity of the issue.
  • For urgent event-day incidents, use the support channel provided in your dashboard or written onboarding material.

14. Suspension and termination

  • You may stop using Martida, delete events, or request account deletion at any time, subject to legal and payment record retention.
  • We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security risk, fraud, illegal activity, abuse, platform misuse, violation of these terms, or conduct that could harm guests, couples, partners, or Martida.
  • Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to resolve the issue. We may act immediately for urgent security, legal, or safety reasons.

15. Disclaimers and liability

  • Martida is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, except where we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
  • We are not responsible for wedding attendance, guest conduct, venue operations, catering, transport, religious or civil ceremony requirements, family disputes, or decisions made using information entered into the platform.
  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, Martida's total liability for claims related to a paid wedding is limited to the amount paid to Martida for that wedding, and for planner partner claims to the fees paid for the relevant license or pack.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or rights that mandatory consumer law protects.

16. Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms as the product, partner program, laws, or security requirements change.
  • Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified by email or in-product notice.
  • The updated terms apply from the stated effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by Swedish law, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
  • Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Sweden, with Stockholm District Court as the first instance where legally permitted.
  • Before filing a formal claim, both sides agree to try to resolve the issue in good faith by contacting legal@martida.click.
